VP Audit is operated by VantagePoint Networks, based in England and Wales. We provide network security assessment tools and IT consultancy services.

2. What data we collect

When you download a PDF report from VP Audit, we collect the following information you voluntarily provide:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company name
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Whether you would like a free strategy call

We also record your assessment score and category breakdown to provide context in our follow-up communication.

Your assessment answers are never transmitted to our servers.They are stored only in your browser's sessionStorage and are cleared when you close the tab.

3. How we use your data

We use your information to:

  • Send you a copy of your PDF security report
  • Follow up if you requested a free strategy call
  • Send occasional relevant communications about our services (you can opt out at any time)

We will never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (providing the service you requested) and, where applicable, consent (for follow-up communications). You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

5. Data retention

We retain contact form submissions for up to 24 months. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@vpnetworks.co.uk.

6. Third-party services

VP Audit uses the following third-party services:

  • Vercel — hosting and edge functions. Data may be processed in the EU and US.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is passed to Resend solely to deliver your report.

7. Cookies and tracking

VP Audit does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels. We use sessionStorage (a browser feature, not a cookie) to pass your answers between pages — this data never leaves your device.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data
  • Object to processing
  • Data portability

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
